This is a sacramental process of initiation of non-baptized adults or adults baptized in another religion wishing to join the Catholic Church. This is accomomplished through a process of discerning and ritualistic stages of conversion leading to sacramental initiation through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist celebrated at the Easter Vigil Mass.
We meet every Monday night between 7:00pm - 8:30pm in the Parish Meeting Rooms, which is located in the glass corridor leading to the Church.

Our hope is that through Religious Education we can help instill a deeper love of Jesus and a greater understanding of our Catholic faith in our children and families.
There are quite a few new things for the RE program in 2020-21. First, Religious Education will take place Sunday mornings from 10:15-11:30 and will now be open to Kindergarten children as well as Grades 1-8. Be assured, we will follow all of the guidelines put forth from the Diocese of Harrisburg in regards to COVID-19 and the safety of your children.
We have also created the OMPH REC Board which is made up of parents, RE teachers and parishioners to help guide the future of the Religious Education program. The REC Board will be focusing on things like curriculum, retreats, trips, and enhancing overall communication with all families. The REC Board will be looking for more new ideas and suggestions. Any parents who might be interested in joining are welcome to contact Fr. Jim.
